What is the New Evangelization?

What is the new evangelization? When Catholics hear the word evangelization they often think that is the primary duty of priests and/or religious. They may also think that Catholics don’t evangelize, only Protestants do. Pope John Paul II has some important things to say about the necessity of Catholic evan- gelization. Primarily, evangelization is the duty of every baptized person.
Our May 1st CCI class will examine the “primary duty of Christians at the end of the twentieth century” as addressed by Pope John Paul II in his remarkable book, Crossing the Threshold of Hope.

So as John Paul II would say, “be not afraid” and mark your calendars for this faith-enhancing session. This CCI class will be held at Layton Study Center, 12900 W. North Ave., Brookfield on Saturday, May 1st, from 10 am to 12 noon.
